When is the restaurant open?

The Farmer's Inn opens weekends for trout season from 9:00 to 9:00. The restaurant, wildlife exhibits, and driving range is open after Mother's Day seven days a week from 9:00 to 9:00. We are open after labor day weekends only; Friday to Sunday from 9:00 to 9:00. We close for the winter the last full weekend of October.

Do I need to make a reservation?

No. The Farmer's Inn does not take reservations. If you have a large group, the staff would appreciate it it you could call to let us know, so we can set up tables, but reservations are not necessary.

Can I get a homemade apple dumpling throughout the summer?

No, because the apple dumpling is a seasonal dessert, we usually serve it in the fall and first few weeks of the spring. This is when the apples are best and make the most delicious dumplings. We server other seasonal desserts like strawberry and peach shortcakes as well.

What is a "Whirlwind?"

A whirlwind is an ice cream treat. Your choice of candy is blended with ice cream to create a cool, satisfying dessert. This dessert comes in small or large, and is served in a cup.

How much does the bear weight?

Yogi has been at the Farmer's Inn for ten years. He now weights 650 pounds, although he will lose about 100 pounds during the winter when he hibernates.

Do you make everything on the salad bar?

Yes, we make all the salads, desserts, soups, and cookies on the salad bar.

What time is the grill shut off?

The grill is turned off at 8:30 pm, but the restaurant closes at 9:00 pm. Until this time you may order salad bar or desserts.

When is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served from 9:00 am to 11:00 am seven days a week. The breakfast buffet is served on Sundays at the same hours.

When is the hot buffet open?

The hot buffet opens on Fridays and Saturdays at 4:00 pm. It is open on Sundays at 11:30 am. The buffet is closed at 8:00 pm on all three days.
